Fall 2025 Service Calendar
The ECU Transit Service Calendar is posted by academic term and outlines all service exceptions and other important dates for a given semester. Service exceptions are planned in advance and occur when service is modified or canceled on a specific date, typically due to holidays, events, academic breaks, or other planned events that impact the university calendar. Unless otherwise noted, normal service will operate as scheduled.
Should changes in service occur due to weather or other unplanned events, notice will be posed online to our website and social media accounts. Additionally, you can text ECU SUB RIDE to 22827 to sign up for text message alerts to be notified if a change of schedule occurs.
*Home Football Games – Transit Services will be limited during home football games. Operational times are determined based on game start and end times which vary. On-Demand Service operates with a limited-service area and cannot service areas surrounding Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium, Minges Coliseum, and College Hill. Please check our website during the week of each game for service updates regarding game days.

Van Service (Pirate Access, SafeRide, On-Demand)

Weekday Daytime Service
Monday-Friday: 7:00AM-6:00PM
- Pirate Access: scheduled trips for persons with temporary or permanent disabilities.
- Must complete application through DSS
- Pre-Scheduled rides for PGV Airport or off-campus medical appointments.
- Please call our office to schedule these types of rides.
Evening & Weekend Service
Monday-Friday: 6:00PM-1:00AM
Saturday-Sunday: 10:00AM-1:00AM
- SafeRide/On-Demand: Two-way service for shaded areas within our service area. Rides can originate and end at any point within the shaded regions on the map.
- SafeRide Home: One-way service from campus to off campus apartment complexes. This service is useful for getting home after the buses have stopped running. Off campus locations we service as one-way are indicated by the point markers on the map.

The direct link to BusTime included here provides real time tracking for these routes, including arrival predictions, and upcoming vehicle passenger load occupancy as low, medium or high. For routes which are not currently scheduled to operate, you may see the message “no predictions” for some or all stops. Please check the schedule for operating times or contact us for assistance.
