ECU Ride

ECU Ride is a fare-free, point-to-point van service that promotes safe travel both on and off campus. It’s available to all students, faculty, and staff with a valid ECU 1 Card. This service is especially popular among students living on campus who want to explore Greenville during the evenings and weekends. Whether you’re headed to nearby shopping centers, restaurants, or local hangout spots, ECU Ride provides an easy and convenient way to get there—no car needed.

As a shared-ride system, multiple passengers may be picked up or dropped off along your trip. This approach helps us serve more riders efficiently while maintaining timely service.

While all trips must stay within the established service boundaries, the service area includes many popular destinations not served by regular bus routes. Please call our office at (252) 328-7433 or (252) ECU-RIDE if you would like help planning or booking your trip.

Before you ride, please note: During peak times, if estimated wait times exceed 45 minutes, ride requests may be temporarily unavailable—please try again later. ECU Ride accounts must be created using your ECU student, faculty, or staff email address, and riders should ensure their phone number is correct in the app to receive timely ride updates. To keep service moving smoothly, vans wait a maximum of 3 minutes at pickup locations; incorrect information or missed pickups may result in being marked as a no-show.

If our new app is not your style, you can still give us a call at (252) 328-7433 or (252) ECU-RIDE and our staff can help you create an account and book rides on your behalf.
